Located 38 miles north of Kemmerer along Forest Road 10062, Hams Fork Campground provides a peaceful retreat in the southern portion of the Bridger-Teton National Forest. The campground features 13 sites with vault toilets and trash service during the summer season. Access requires navigating approximately 26 miles of gravel road after leaving the paved highway, rewarding visitors with a lightly-used campground along the scenic Hams Fork River corridor. The campground serves as an excellent base camp for exploring the Kemmerer Ranger District. Nearby attractions include Big Spring picnic area, the Hobble Creek scenic drive, and multiple hiking trails. The Hams Fork River offers quality fishing opportunities for those seeking to cast a line. The area sees light usage, making it well-suited for campers seeking solitude in Wyoming's backcountry.

Directions

From Kemmerer, head north on US-189 for approximately 1 mile, then turn left onto WY-233. Follow WY-233 for 19 miles until it becomes Hams Fork Road/CR-305. Continue 12 miles to where the road becomes FS-10062 upon entering the National Forest. Follow FS-10062 for 6 miles and turn left into the campground. Total distance approximately 38 miles, 1 hour drive. Last 26 miles are gravel.
