About

Tatman Run Picnic Shelter is a reservable day-use group facility located at Tatman Run Recreation Area on the southern end of Raystown Lake in Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. The shelter comfortably accommodates up to 80 people with approximately 10 picnic tables and offers shaded lakefront views. Fire grills are available on site. The facility is wheelchair accessible, with vault restrooms located approximately 75 yards from the shelter. No potable water or electricity is provided, though generators may be permitted with advance ranger approval. A swimming beach and boat ramp within the recreation area provide access to the 8,300-acre Raystown Lake. This is a day-use facility only, not an overnight campground. Hours of operation are 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., with all activities concluding by closing time. Reservations through Recreation.gov are required; parking is first-come, first-served and not guaranteed with a shelter reservation.
