Closed — Closed for the season. The facility operates seasonally from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Beach hours during the season are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.

For the Extreme Cold Warning, until 10 AM EST Sunday. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 25 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.

Tatman Run Recreation Area is located on the southern end of Raystown Lake, providing a convenient location for picnicking, swimming, and lake access. The facility features a reservable picnic shelter that is popular for family gatherings and special events, with a dedicated swimming beach that operates seasonally. The recreation area includes a boat ramp within the facility, providing direct access to the 8,300-acre Raystown Lake, which is renowned for boating, fishing, and water recreation. The lakefront location along the main channel makes it possible to enjoy multiple activities in one visit, including picnicking, swimming, fishing, and boating. Managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Tatman Run is easily accessible from Route 994 and is situated near Lake Raystown Resort. The area offers nearby access to other recreation facilities including Aitch Boat Launch, James Creek Boat Launch, Seven Points Recreation Area, and Seven Points Marina.

Directions

From southbound Route 26 at Route 22, continue approximately 16 miles to the second blinking yellow light. Turn left on Route 994 towards Tatman Run. Continue another 4 miles. Just past the Lake Raystown Resort, turn left into Tatman Run.
