About

Canoe Creek State Park is a 961-acre park in Blair County centered around a scenic 155-acre lake. The park offers 8 modern cabins for year-round overnight stays, each sleeping up to 6 people with full kitchen, bathroom with shower, two bedrooms, and living/dining area. Every cabin includes a fire ring and picnic table, with several overlooking the lake. Two cabins are ADA accessible, and three accept pets. The park provides diverse recreational opportunities including a swimming beach, fishing (the lake is stocked with trout and warmwater species), boat rentals, 9 miles of hiking trails, horse trails, and an 18-hole disc golf course. The Terry Wentz Education Center hosts nature programs, and the park is known for bat conservation efforts with a colony of little brown bats. A food concession operates seasonally near the beach. Peak season runs from the second Friday in June through mid-August, requiring weekly rentals with Friday check-in/check-out. Off-season allows two-night minimum stays. Reservations can be made up to 11 months in advance through ReserveAmerica or by calling 888-PA-PARKS.
