About
Nancy's Boat To Shore Campground is a primitive, boat-access-only campground situated along the central shoreline of Raystown Lake in Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. Managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, this secluded getaway offers 50 designated tent sites, each equipped with a fire ring and picnic table. The campground is accessible from James Creek Boat Launch via PA-994 near Entriken or Aitch Boat Launch via PA-26 in Marklesburg. The campground operates within Raystown Lake, the largest lake located entirely within Pennsylvania. The surrounding landscape features old oak-hickory forest along the shoreline, with mountain ridges and cliffs in the background. Fishing is a major draw, with excellent populations of smallmouth and largemouth bass, muskellunge, striped bass, and brown trout. Trough Creek State Park lies across the lake, while Seven Points Recreation Area and Lake Raystown Resort are within 8 lake miles. As a primitive facility, campers must be self-sufficient. Vault toilets are provided, but there is no potable water on-site. Campers should fill water containers at Aitch Boat Launch or Seven Points before arriving. Maximum of two tents per site. Boats may not serve as camping units. Nearby trails including Lower Trail, Terrace Mountain Trail, Old Loggers Trail, and Mid State Trail offer additional recreation.
Directions
Boat-in access only. Launch from Aitch Boat Launch via PA-26 in Marklesburg or James Creek Boat Launch via PA-994 near Entriken. The campground is on the shoreline of Raystown Lake and is not accessible by road.
