About

Washington Crossing State Park preserves the site where George Washington and the Continental Army crossed the Delaware River on December 25, 1776. The park spans over 3,500 acres along the Delaware River, approximately eight miles north of Trenton in Mercer County. Camping is limited to four primitive group campsites located in the Phillips Farm area. These sites are designed for organized groups such as scouts, clubs, or other gatherings. Each site features fire rings, picnic tables, and composting toilets. There are no water or electric hookups, no dump station, and campers must pack out all trash. The combined capacity of all four sites is 115 people. Beyond camping, the park offers extensive hiking and biking trails, the historic Johnson Ferry House, a nature center, and open-air theater. The terrain is mostly flat with deciduous forest and meadows along the river corridor.

Directions

From Trenton, take Route 29 north approximately 8 miles. The park entrance is on Washington Crossing-Pennington Road (Route 546) in Titusville.
