About
Voorhees State Park Campground sits in Lebanon Township within New Jersey's Highlands, roughly an hour west of New York City. The campground provides 30 tent and trailer sites, 3 lean-to shelters with wood-burning stoves and bunk beds, and 2 group sites for larger parties. Each family site includes a picnic table, fire ring with attached grill, and parking for two vehicles. Facilities include a centrally located modern restroom building with flush toilets and hot showers, potable water spigots, and a dishwashing station. An RV dump station is available at nearby Spruce Run Recreation Area. The park is known for the Paul Robinson Observatory, operated by amateur astronomers who host public viewing nights. Nine miles of trails traverse the 1,400-acre park through mixed hardwood forest. The Highlands Trail passes through, connecting to a larger regional trail network. Black bears are present; campers must store food properly in vehicle trunks. No pets are allowed in the campground.
