About
Washington Crossing Historic Park is a National Historic Landmark preserving the site where George Washington and the Continental Army crossed the Delaware River on December 25, 1776. The park is divided into two sections. The Upper Section features historic buildings, walking paths, picnic pavilions, fishing access, and historical and environmental education programs. The Lower Section offers historic buildings, walking paths, picnicking, picnic pavilions, fishing, non-motorized boat launching, outdoor recreation programs, and hosts special events including annual reenactments of the famous crossing.
This is a day-use facility only. No overnight camping of any kind is available at this park. The reservation system offers only three picnic pavilion rentals: General Greene, General Sullivan, and General Washington. Visitors seeking family overnight or organized group camping are directed to French Creek State Park instead.
