Neshaminy State Park is open year-round from 8:00 AM to sunset. This is a day-use facility only with no overnight camping. Pavilion rentals for group gatherings are available through ReserveAmerica.

* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values between 105 and 115 degrees expected each day. * WHERE...Portions of northern Delaware, central and southern New Jersey, and southeast Pennsylvania. * WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Very warm low temperatures in the mid 70s to low 80s at night will not offer any relief from the heat. This combined with multiple days of near record breaking temperatures will exacerbate the impacts from the heat and humidity. The hottest conditions are expected to occur today through Friday.

About

Neshaminy State Park encompasses 339 acres along the Delaware River in lower Bucks County, where Neshaminy Creek joins the river. The park provides recreation access for the densely populated Philadelphia suburbs with facilities including a swimming pool (open Memorial Day through Labor Day), a separate children's spray park, picnic areas with grills and tables, playgrounds, and hiking/biking trails. The marina offers boat launch ramps, boat lift service, and seasonal storage for Delaware River access. Three ADA-accessible pavilions are available for group rentals accommodating 50-100 people, reservable through ReserveAmerica. Restrooms and potable water are available throughout the park. Note: Neshaminy State Park does not offer overnight camping. Visitors seeking tent or RV camping should consider French Creek State Park or other Pennsylvania state parks with camping facilities.
