About

Tyler State Park is a 1,711-acre day-use park located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, approximately 33 miles from Center City Philadelphia. Neshaminy Creek meanders through the park, creating a scenic landscape that was once farmland. The park preserves this agricultural heritage while offering diverse outdoor recreation opportunities. The park features 26.8 miles of paved multi-use trails popular with cyclists and hikers, plus over 14.5 miles of unpaved trails for hiking and horseback riding. A 36-hole disc golf course, children's playground, boat rentals (kayaks, canoes, paddleboards) from Memorial Day through Labor Day, and fishing access are available. Seven designated picnic areas offer tables, restrooms, and drinking water, with three areas available for group reservations. Notable features include the Schofield Ford Covered Bridge, rebuilt in 1997 after a 1991 fire, and the Tyler Park Center for the Arts offering cultural programming. The park prohibits swimming and overnight stays. Visitors may bring horses for daytime riding but no overnight boarding is permitted.
