About

Spruce Run Recreation Area Campground is located on the shores of Spruce Run Reservoir, one of New Jersey's largest bodies of water at 1,290 acres. The campground operates seasonally from April 1 through October 31 and offers 67 tent and trailer sites along with three shelters equipped with bunk beds. Seven trailer-only sites (1-4 and 55-57) provide water and electric hookups with 30/50 amp service. Facilities include modern restrooms with showers on both sides of the campground, a sanitary dump station, and potable water. Each campsite comes equipped with a picnic table, fire ring with attached grill, and parking for two vehicles. The maximum occupancy is six persons per campsite. Pets are not permitted in the campground area. The surrounding recreation area offers boating (electric motors and sailboats only), fishing for bass and trout, swimming (when the beach is open), and picnicking. The reservoir is subject to harmful algal bloom advisories and boating restrictions during high winds.
