About

Loop Campground is nestled in the Stansbury Range of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, approximately 4.5 miles up a gravel road from the forest boundary in South Willow Canyon. At 7,400 feet elevation, the campground offers partial shade from oak, maple, and juniper trees, with Willow Creek providing a scenic backdrop. The campground features 12 single sites and 1 double site, each with picnic tables. Vault restrooms are available, but there is no potable water so campers must pack in their own supply. This is bear country, and proper food storage is mandatory. The multi-use Stansbury Front Trail and Medina Flat Trail begin across from the campground entrance, offering direct access to the rugged Deseret Peak Wilderness. Willow Creek provides rainbow and brown trout fishing opportunities. The access road is gravel and not recommended for trailer use due to steep, narrow sections with potholes.

Directions

From Grantsville, Utah, head southwest into South Willow Canyon. The campground is located 4.5 miles up the canyon from the National Forest boundary on a gravel road. The road is steep and narrow with potholes; not recommended for trailers.
