Closure of Fishing on Concrete Boat Ramps withing Flaming Gorge Reservoir

Ashley National Forest Order 050115A1 regarding:  Closure of Fishing from Concrete Boat Ramps on Flaming Gorge Reservoir

About

Upper Stillwater Campground is located in Ashley National Forest below the Upper Stillwater Dam at 8,000 feet elevation. The campground sits in the Rock Creek Drainage on the southern slope of the Uinta Mountains, surrounded by Ponderosa pine, lodgepole pine, and aspen trees that provide sparse shade. The concrete dam is visible from the campground, and summer wildflowers are abundant. The Rock Creek Trail begins just outside the campground, providing access to the High Uintas Wilderness where hiking, backpacking, horseback riding, and backcountry fishing are popular activities. Rock Creek offers rainbow and brook trout fishing. The reservoir itself requires hiking to access as the road is not open to vehicle traffic. The campground offers single sites (8 people, 1 vehicle, 1 RV/trailer), double sites (16 people, 2 vehicles, 2 RV/trailers), and one group site (32 people, 4 vehicles, 4 RV/trailers). Sites include picnic tables and campfire rings. Flush toilets and drinking water are available. A campground host is on-site during the season.
