Snow Play Closure

About
Upper Fir Group Area is one of the most popular group campsites in the Sacramento Mountain area. Unique to its neighboring campgrounds, it's set far back from public roads, allowing for true peace and quiet. The campground is located on the northwestern portion of Lincoln National Forest, a protected area spanning 1.1 million acres of land. The facility offers reservation-only camping for groups up to 120 people, with pricing based on group size. The site includes a covered pavilion, 12 picnic tables, two fire rings, vault toilets, a drinking water hydrant, and garbage depositories. RVs are limited to 30 feet due to site constraints. Spend your days exploring the mountains and trails throughout Lincoln National Forest, or head west for a day trip to White Sands National Park, the world's largest dune field of pure white gypsum sand. The campground provides an excellent base for group activities in the high-elevation forests of southern New Mexico.
Directions
Travel east on US 82 from Cloudcroft, turn left onto NM 244. Less than 1 mile later on your right you will find the entrance to Upper and Lower Fir Campgrounds, across the street from the Pines Campground. The Lower Fir area is the first one on your right; Upper Fir is further up the road at the end.
