Snow Play Closure

About
Saddle Campground is located at 9,000 feet elevation in the Sacramento Mountains of Lincoln National Forest, offering a cool mountain retreat among mixed conifer and aspen forests. The campground features 16 single sites suitable for both tent and RV camping, with a 30-foot RV length limit. Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring, parking spur, and gray water sump. Amenities include flush toilets, showers, potable water, and a central garbage depository. Interpretive trails provide opportunities to explore the surrounding forest. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations available. Senior and Access pass discounts are honored. The campground is part of the Silver-Saddle-Apache Campground Complex, accessed via Forest Road 24C off NM244. The high elevation location provides relief from the desert heat below, making it a popular summer destination in southern New Mexico.

Travel east on US82 from Cloudcroft, turn left onto NM244. Approximately 4 miles turn right at the Silver-Saddle-Apache Campground Complex sign (Forest Road 24C).
