About

Upper Coffee Pot Campground is located in Island Park, Idaho on the banks of the Henry's Fork of the Snake River at an elevation of 6,300 feet. The campground is situated among lodgepole pines, with some sites offering direct river access and views. All sites include fire rings, grills, and picnic tables, with eight sites featuring 50-amp electric hookups. Henry's Fork is renowned for world-class fly fishing for rainbow and brook trout. The river also supports tubing, canoeing, kayaking, and rafting, with Coffee Pot Rapids (Class III whitewater) located downstream. The 2.5-mile Coffee Pot Rapids Trail begins in the campground and follows the riverbank. The Continental Divide National Scenic Trail and Nez Perce Trail are nearby. Yellowstone National Park's west entrance is just 23 miles north in West Yellowstone, Montana. Mesa Falls Scenic Byway is 14 miles south, leading to Upper and Lower Mesa Falls. Harriman State Park and Henry's Lake State Park offer additional fishing and recreation opportunities within a short drive.
