About

Featherstone Memorial Park sits on 51 acres along the northwest shoreline of North Twin Lake in Calhoun County, Iowa. The campground provides a variety of site options: sites 1-29 on the north end offer electric and water hookups, sites 30-43 in the newer south addition provide full hookups including sewer, and sites A1-30 on the south end are designated for long-term stays with water and electric. Twenty primitive tent sites (T1-20) line the lakefront with no hookups. All campsites operate on a first-come, first-served basis at $25/night with no advance reservations. The park maintains three restroom/shower house facilities and two picnic shelters. Campers have access to boat ramps, swimming areas (no lifeguard), and fishing docks on the 453-acre natural lake known for walleye, crappie, bluegill, channel catfish, and yellow bass. The 7-mile paved Twin Lakes Trail begins at the park and circles North Twin Lake, popular for biking and walking. Seven rental cabins with lake views are also available through the Calhoun County Conservation Board. Maximum stays are 14 days on most sites, after which campers must remove units for at least 3 nights before returning.
