About

Tasha Equestrian Campground is a dedicated horse camping facility in the Fishlake National Forest, located 4 miles north of Fish Lake at 9,000 feet elevation. Campers must have horses to stay here. The campground offers 9 single-family sites plus one group site that accommodates up to 25 people and 10 vehicles. Facilities include corrals, a staging area, hitching racks, and immediate trailhead access to miles of riding trails. The high mountain setting features a mixed forest of aspen, spruce, and pine trees providing partial shade, with many sites offering panoramic mountain and valley views. The remote location is subject to rapid weather changes due to elevation. Certified weed-free hay is required for horses. Johnson Valley Reservoir sits just a half-mile from camp with a boat ramp. Fish Lake, Utah's largest natural mountain lake famous for 20-40 pound Mackinaw lake trout, is less than 10 minutes away. The 25-mile Mytoge Mountain Trail loop offers everything from easy cruising to challenging singletrack for riders.
