About

Tuscarora State Park spans 1,618 acres in the foothills of Locust Mountain in northeastern Pennsylvania. The park features Tuscarora Lake as its centerpiece, where Locust Mountain appears to drop directly into the southern shore. The campground offers six camping cottages and four yurts, all available for reservation through Pennsylvania State Parks. Each cottage features wooden walls and floors, windows, electric lighting and outlets, electric heat, bunk beds, a porch, picnic table, and fire ring. Dogs are permitted in Camping Cottage #1. The four yurts include all the amenities of cottages plus a four-burner electric range, microwave oven, refrigerator, countertop and cabinets, table and chairs, and a skylight vent. All accommodations sleep five people and have access to a nearby shower house. The park includes a boat launch, boat rentals, a swimming beach, hiking trails, picnic areas, and two pavilions available for rent. Reservations must be made at least three days in advance and can be booked up to 11 months ahead through the Pennsylvania State Parks reservation system. The park serves as the office and visitor center for both Tuscarora and nearby Locust Lake state parks.
