About

Beltzville State Park is a 3,002-acre day-use recreation area located in the southern foothills of the Poconos, five miles east of Lehighton off US 209. The park's centerpiece is the 949-acre Beltzville Lake, fed by Pohopoco Creek, which serves as a rest stop for migrating waterfowl and a destination for boaters and anglers. No overnight camping is permitted at Beltzville State Park. The park explicitly prohibits overnight lodging on watercraft, in self-contained campers, or in any other form. Visitors seeking overnight accommodations are directed to contact the park office for information about nearby camping alternatives. Day-use facilities include four picnic pavilions available for reservation (accommodating up to 64 people each), a popular sand beach for swimming, boat launches, hiking trails, mountain biking, and wildlife watching opportunities. The park is open year-round from sunrise to sunset, with summer hours (Memorial Day through Labor Day) from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM daily.
