Ricketts Glen State Park campground sits within one of Pennsylvania's most scenic natural areas, offering 120 campsites spread across shaded loops near Lake Jean. The campground accommodates everything from tent campers to large RVs up to 40 feet, with site types including non-electric, electric (15/20/30/50 amp), and full-hookup sites with water and sewer connections. Modern restroom facilities with flush toilets and hot showers serve the campground, along with a sanitary dump station and camp store. The park's crown jewel is the Glens Natural Area, designated a National Natural Landmark, where the Falls Trail descends through old-growth forest past 22 named waterfalls. Ganoga Falls, at 94 feet, is the tallest in the system. Beyond hiking, the park offers swimming at the Lake Jean beach, fishing, boating with rentals available, horseback riding trails, and winter activities including snowmobiling. The campground operates primarily from April through December, with a small number of sites remaining open year-round for winter camping.

Directions

Located 30 miles north of Bloomsburg on PA 487. Caution: The section of PA 487 from Red Rock to the Lake Jean area is very steep. Heavy trailer units should avoid this hill and enter the park via PA 487 south from Dushore instead.
