About

Hickory Run State Park spans 15,990 acres in the western foothills of the Pocono Mountains and provides one of Pennsylvania's largest camping facilities with 385 sites. The campground offers a variety of options including 15 full hookup sites with water, sewer, and electric; 111 modern electric sites; 141 modern non-electric sites; and tent-only areas. Modern facilities include warm showers, flush restrooms, and a sanitary dump station. A seasonal camp store sells supplies, ice, firewood, and food. The park features rustic camping areas that remain open longer into the season, as well as five camping cottages with electric heat and lighting. For groups, 13 organized group tenting sites are available year-round, and two large cabin camps accommodate 124 and 149 people respectively. The park includes three state park natural areas, miles of trout streams, and over 40 miles of hiking trails. Boulder Field, a striking National Natural Landmark, draws visitors to see its unique geological formation. The park maintains an active bear population, requiring campers to store all food and scented items in vehicles when away from sites.
