About

Tongue River Reservoir State Park lies along a scenic 12-mile reservoir in Big Horn County, Montana, about 6 miles north of the Wyoming border. The park serves as a popular warm-water fishery known for walleye, smallmouth bass, channel catfish, and northern pike. Multiple campgrounds spread along the reservoir shoreline offer varied options from primitive sites to full electric hookups with 50-amp, 30-amp, and 120-volt service. The park features 164 total campsites, with 95 reservable through ReserveAmerica during peak season (third Friday of May through third Sunday of September). Of the reservable sites, 81 have electric hookups, including 27 double-occupancy sites. Campers Point campground maintains 11 sites with year-round electricity. Twenty-three vault toilets are distributed throughout the campgrounds, and seasonal water faucets operate from early May through September 30. A full-service marina offers boat rentals, fuel, bait, fishing licenses, ice, and groceries. Two boat ramps with docks provide reservoir access. The park includes a fish cleaning station and dump station. Nearly all campsites include a fire ring and picnic table.
