About
Located along the Bighorn Scenic Byway near Burgess Junction, Sibley Lake Campground offers a developed camping experience at 7,900 feet elevation in the Bighorn Mountains. The campground is the only one in Bighorn National Forest to provide electrical hookups, with 14 of the 25 sites offering this amenity. The facility is situated near Sibley Lake and Prune Creek, surrounded by lodgepole pine forest beneath granite peaks that rise over 13,000 feet. The campground provides access to Sibley Lake, which allows non-motorized craft and electric motors only. An accessible fishing dock serves anglers pursuing rainbow, brown, and brook trout. The area offers diverse recreation including off-road vehicle trails, scenic jeep roads, and numerous hiking trails ranging from easy loops to challenging treks accessing the Cloud Peak Wilderness. Additional fishing is available in surrounding streams. Managed by concessionaire Gallatin Canyon Campgrounds, the campground operates seasonally with full services including potable water and vault toilets. Shell Falls Visitor Center lies approximately 25 miles southwest, offering interpretive trails and educational displays about the area's natural and cultural history.

From Dayton, Wyoming, take U.S. Highway 14 west for about 21 miles. Turn left at the campground sign and continue 0.4 miles to the campground.
