About

Little Goose Campground is a primitive, remote camping destination located in Bighorn National Forest at 7,000 feet elevation. This small campground features just 3 rustic sites with 40-foot spurs, offering an excellent option for campers seeking solitude and a true backcountry experience. Access requires high-clearance 4-wheel drive vehicles via Forest Road 314, which is approximately 2 miles from Forest Road 26. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no fee and light usage. Several small mountain streams are located nearby, adding to the natural appeal of the area. The remote location and difficult access keep visitor numbers low, making it an ideal choice for those looking to escape crowds. Facilities are minimal, with vault toilets available but no potable water, trash service, or other amenities. Campers must pack in all supplies and pack out all trash. The campground is subject to a 14-day stay limit and operates seasonally from early June through October, weather permitting. Winter road closures and seasonal conditions can affect access, so visitors should check current road conditions before planning a trip.
