Tobyhanna State Park

Tobyhanna State Park campground is located in Monroe County within a 5,440-acre park that includes a 170-acre lake. The campground offers 135 sites in a forested setting at nearly 2,000 feet above sea level, providing a cooler mountain camping experience even during summer months. Central facilities include flush toilets, hot showers, and water spigots, with a sanitary dump station located between the park office and campground entrance. The campground welcomes RVs and trailers, with pets permitted at selected campsites for an additional fee. A playground is available for children. The high elevation means campers should be prepared for cool nighttime temperatures throughout the camping season. The park's 170-acre lake offers swimming, boating, and fishing opportunities, with rental facilities available during the main summer season. For larger groups, five rustic organized group tenting sites are available year-round with non-flush toilets and hand-operated water pumps. These sites can accommodate groups ranging from 20 to 120 people. Reservations can be made through Pennsylvania State Parks reservation system.

Directions

The park entrance is 2.1 miles north of the community of Tobyhanna on PA 423. PA 423 intersects with I-380, 2.5 miles south of the park entrance.
