Thoms Creek Crossing Campsite is a fully accessible, single occupancy campsite situated on the south end of Wrangell Island within the Tongass National Forest. Located 38 miles south of Wrangell, the site is accessed via Zimovia Highway and Forest Roads 6265 to 6270 to 6299. A short footpath from the parking area at the bridge leads to the campsite on the shore of Thoms Creek. This remote site offers a peaceful wilderness experience with light usage, making it ideal for campers seeking solitude. The site features an outhouse and is designed to be fully accessible. No water is available on-site, so visitors must bring their own. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no fees. The location provides opportunities for fishing, wildlife viewing, and experiencing the pristine rainforest environment of Southeast Alaska. The Wrangell Ranger District encompasses Wrangell Island and the surrounding mainland and islands, offering access to the broader Tongass National Forest recreation opportunities.

Site is 38 miles south of Wrangell via Zimovia Highway and Forest Roads 6265 to 6270 to 6299. The site is on the right, just east of the bridge crossing Thoms Creek. Access is via a short footpath from the parking area.
