About

Anita Bay Overlook Campsite is a scenic primitive camping area located 14 miles south of Wrangell on Wrangell Island in the Tongass National Forest. The campsite sits along Forest Road 6267, about 2.2 miles off the Zimovia Highway, and offers outstanding views across Zimovia Strait to the dramatic Three Sisters mountain range on Etolin Island. The campsite has two designated sites, both of which are fully ADA accessible. Each site is equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. An outhouse provides restroom facilities. There is no potable water available, so campers must bring their own water supply. This is a pack-it-out campsite with no trash service provided. This is a free, first-come first-served campsite with light usage, making it an excellent option for those seeking a quiet, scenic spot away from developed campgrounds. The remote location on a forest road means it's best suited for smaller vehicles and tent camping rather than large RVs.
