About
The Point Campground is situated on the northern side of Lake of the Arbuckles within Chickasaw National Recreation Area, where the western Great Plains transition into eastern forests in the Crosstimbers region. The campground provides direct access to popular activities including boating, swimming, fishing, and birding along the lake's shoreline. The campground contains 55 sites split between two loops. The Lower Loop offers 37 sites (9 electric, 28 tent-only) on a first-come, first-served basis, with flush restrooms, sinks, and hot showers. The Upper Loop has 21 sites (12 electric with water hookups and 30/50 amp service, 9 non-electric) available by reservation through Recreation.gov up to 360 days in advance. Five ADA-accessible sites are available across both loops. Each campsite includes a picnic table and fire ring. A dump station is located on the road leading to the campground. The Point boat launch and fishing dock are nearby, and an amphitheater hosts seasonal ranger programs. Credit and debit cards are accepted for payment.
