About
Rock Creek Campground is the largest campground in Chickasaw National Recreation Area, covering over 67 acres of forested land along Rock Creek near Veterans Lake. Built in 1943, approximately half of its 100 campsites retain their original design layout. The campground offers a primitive camping experience suited for tent campers and small travel trailers up to 25 feet. The campground features two restroom buildings with flush toilets and sinks, potable water from shared spigots, and trash/recycling collection. A dump station is available seasonally near Bromide Pavilion. No showers or electric hookups are provided. Fires are permitted only in provided fire rings, and stoves and grills may be used within campsites. Of the 100 total sites, 99 are first-come, first-served at $20 per night for up to 8 people. The large group site accommodates up to 30 people at $50 per night and requires advance reservation through Recreation.gov. Payment is by debit/credit card only at the fee machine. Check-in is 2:30 PM and check-out is noon.
