About

Buckhorn Pavilion provides a scenic opportunity to rent a space for outdoor events and celebrations within Chickasaw National Recreation Area. Located at the water's edge of Lake of the Arbuckles at the end of Buckhorn Road, approximately 10 minutes from Sulphur, the pavilion is an ideal spot for hosting birthday parties and gatherings with friends and family. The covered, non-electric pavilion is equipped with picnic tables and charcoal grills. Ample parking and spacious grass-covered grounds make it suitable for larger groups and games like Frisbee or football. Visitors can enjoy quality swimming in the lake. The pavilion sits near the boat ramp parking area with convenient lakeside views. The area is part of Chickasaw National Recreation Area, a partially forested hilly region of lakes and mineral water springs. Lake of the Arbuckles is the largest lake in the recreation area, spanning 2,350 acres. Nearby attractions include crystal clear springs such as Pavilion Springs, Hillside Springs, and Black Sulphur Springs, as well as the Chickasaw Cultural Center.
