About

Guy Sandy Campground occupies a scenic position on the western shore of Lake of the Arbuckles, one of the primary water bodies within Chickasaw National Recreation Area near Sulphur, Oklahoma. This primitive campground provides 40 first-come, first-served campsites that cater to tent campers and small RVs alike. Access is via the southern end of Chickasaw Trail. The campground offers basic but functional amenities suited to its primitive character. Each campsite includes a picnic table and fire ring with an attached grill for cooking. Communal water spigots provide seasonal potable water, and vault toilets are available throughout the campground. Trash collection is provided seasonally. RVs and trailers up to 30 feet in length are permitted, though no electric, water, or sewer hookups are available. Under normal operations, Guy Sandy Campground is open seasonally from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis at $14 per night, cash only. The nearby boat launch and fishing dock provide lake access for anglers and boaters.
