Closed

Closed for the season. Beginning in 2025, Loops A and B only open on holiday weekends during summer (Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day weekends). First-come, first-served only.

About

Buckhorn Campground Loop B offers 25 first-come, first-served campsites in a lakeside setting at Chickasaw National Recreation Area. Most sites are walk-in only, though a few can accommodate small RVs and boat trailers. There are no hookups available on this loop. The campground provides seasonal amenities including flush toilets, hot showers, potable water, and trash collection when open. Located adjacent to Lake of the Arbuckles, the campground offers easy access to the Buckhorn Boat Launch and serves as the southern trailhead for the Rock Creek Multi-Use Trail. Campsite 41 is designated as fully accessible and connected by sidewalk to an accessible restroom building. Each site includes a fire ring, and campers may gather dead and down wood. A dump station is available in the Buckhorn Campground complex when the facility is operating.

Directions

From Davis, travel east on Highway 7. Drive approximately 8 miles east to the four-way stop at the junction of Highway 7 and Highway 177 in Sulphur. Continue following signs to Buckhorn Campground.
