Buckhorn Campground Loop B sits within Chickasaw National Recreation Area, one of four loops comprising the larger Buckhorn Campground complex near Lake of the Arbuckles. The 25 non-reservable sites operate seasonally on a first-come, first-served basis. Unlike the adjacent Loop C, Loop B has no electrical hookups and caters primarily to tent campers and those with small camping units. Amenities include seasonal flush toilets, hot showers, and potable water available at shared spigots throughout the loop. A dump station is located on Buckhorn Road outside the campground. Each site features a fire ring and picnic table. Campsite 41 is designated ADA-accessible with sidewalk connection to the wheelchair-accessible restroom building. The campground's location near the Buckhorn Boat Launch makes it popular with anglers targeting Lake of the Arbuckles. The southern trailhead for the Rock Creek Multi-Use Trail is also nearby, offering hiking and mountain biking opportunities. Dead and down wood may be gathered for campfires.

Directions

From Interstate 35, take Exit 55 toward Davis, OK. Drive approximately 8 miles east to the junction of Highway 7 and Highway 177 in Sulphur. Turn right (south) on Highway 177 and continue approximately 7 miles to Buckhorn Road. Turn right and follow to the campground.
