About

Tims Ford State Park spans 3,546 acres on the north shore of Tims Ford Lake near the Cumberland Plateau escarpment in Franklin County. The campground system includes Main Campground at 570 Tims Ford Drive and Fairview Campground at 129 Fairview Campground Road, approximately eight miles from the main entrance. Fairview accommodates larger RVs up to 65 feet. Turkey Creek Campground offers 20 primitive sites with fire rings and tables but no hookups, plus six backcountry sites on nearby islands accessible by boat. All developed sites have water and 30-amp electric service, with sewer connections available at 31 sites. Two heated bathhouses provide hot showers and flush toilets. The campground features a dump station near the entrance, laundry facilities, and a camp store. Each site includes a fire ring with grill and picnic table. Only certified heat-treated firewood is permitted. The park offers extensive recreation including marina access for boating and fishing on the 10,700-acre reservoir, The Bear Trace golf course, two pavilions, a visitor center, and an extensive trail system. Check-in is 4:00 PM with checkout at noon. Maximum stay is 14 consecutive nights, extended to 28 nights from December through February. ADA-accessible sites are available with proof of eligibility at check-in.
