About
Old Stone Fort State Archaeological Park Campground provides 50 heavily wooded campsites with water and electric hookups, upgraded in Fall 2020 with modern amenities. Each site features hard-surface pads that accommodate RVs up to 50 feet, along with picnic tables and grills. The campground serves both RV campers and tent campers equally well, offering a secluded atmosphere despite being within 10 minutes of Manchester restaurants and services. The campground includes two restroom facilities, with one featuring showers that operate seasonally. A dump station remains open year-round. The park has created a new access road via Country Club Drive, bypassing the now-closed one-lane bridge. Campers can explore over 8 miles of hiking trails including the main interpretive trail that follows the 1,500-2,000 year old ceremonial walls and passes by graceful waterfalls. The stay limit is two weeks with a mandatory three-night gap between maximum stays. Some northern campsites may hold water after rain. Firewood is available for purchase at the park. The archaeological park offers a unique camping experience centered around ancient Native American history and natural beauty.
