Rock Island State Park Campground

Rock Island State Park campground is located where the Caney Fork and Collins rivers meet, creating a landscape defined by deep gorges, cascading waterfalls, and the scenic Center Hill Lake. The main campground offers 50 sites designed for RVs and trailers, each equipped with 20, 30, and 50-amp electrical service and water hookups. Sites 1-4 and 31-34 include sewer hookups. Every site features a fire ring, picnic table, charcoal grill, and lantern hanger. A separate tent-only campground provides 10 sites with 20-amp electric and water hookups, ideal for campers seeking a more rustic experience. This area is closed seasonally from November 2 through March 15. Two bathhouses with hot water showers and accessible restrooms serve the campground, along with a dump station at the far end. Wi-Fi is available throughout. The park is known for Twin Falls and Great Falls, where the Collins River drops dramatically over limestone ledges. The Great Falls Dam and historic cotton mill ruins offer glimpses into the area's industrial past. Swimming, fishing, kayaking, and hiking draw visitors to this Upper Cumberland destination.

From Nashville, take I-40 East to exit 288. Follow TN-111 South to TN-287 East, then turn onto TN-136 South to reach the park entrance.
