About

Floating Mill Park is a US Army Corps of Engineers campground located on Center Hill Lake in central Tennessee's Highland Rim region. The lake stretches 64 miles up the Caney Fork River with 415 miles of forested shoreline. The campground occupies a scenic peninsula surrounded by water on three sides, offering exceptional lake views and easy water access. The park features over 100 campsites spread across two loops. Most sites offer electric (30 or 50 amp) and water hookups, while several tent-only sites are positioned along the lakeshore. A concrete boat ramp provides direct lake access for boating, waterskiing, and fishing. Anglers can pursue walleye, smallmouth bass, crappie, catfish, and white bass. Below Center Hill Dam, the Caney Fork River is one of Tennessee's most productive trout fisheries. Facilities include flush toilets, hot-water showers, drinking water, a dump station, fish cleaning station, playground, and swimming beach. The Lost Springs Trail loops for 2 miles above the campground. Edgar Evins State Park and Burgess Falls State Park are both within 35 minutes for additional hiking and waterfall viewing.
