Floating Mill Park is an Army Corps of Engineers campground located on the scenic Center Hill Lake in central Tennessee's Highland Rim region. The campground occupies a peninsula surrounded by the lake on three sides, providing sweeping waterfront views and direct access to 64 miles of lake stretching up the Caney Fork River. The campground features over 90 campsites, including lakefront tent-only sites accessible by steps, as well as RV sites with 30-amp electric and water hookups. A group picnic area accommodates up to 125 guests with a large shelter. The facility provides flush toilets, hot showers, drinking water, a boat ramp, fish cleaning station, and a playground. The 2-mile Lost Springs Trail loops above the campground, part of 9 miles of hiking trails around the lake. Center Hill Lake is surrounded by lush mixed hardwood forests where whitetail deer, wild turkey, squirrels, and rabbits roam. The lake offers excellent fishing for bream, walleye, smallmouth bass, crappie, catfish, and white bass. Boating, waterskiing, canoeing, and swimming are popular activities. Below the dam, the Caney Fork River provides productive trout fishing. Edgar Evins State Park and Burgess Falls State Park with its dramatic 250-foot waterfall cascades are within 35 minutes of the campground.

Directions

From I-40, take exit 273. Merge onto US-56 south and continue for 3.5 miles to Floating Mill Road. After about a mile, turn right to stay on Floating Mill Road, and follow signs into the campground.
