About

Long Branch Campground is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers facility located below Center Hill Dam on the scenic Caney Fork River in central Tennessee's Highland Rim. The campground provides 60 gravel sites with water and 50-amp electric hookups, accommodating everything from tents to large RVs. Each site features a fire ring, charcoal grill, lantern pole, and picnic table. Modern amenities include flush restrooms, hot showers, potable water, and a dump station. The Caney Fork River below the dam is stocked with rainbow and brown trout, making Long Branch a destination for fly fishers and spin casters pursuing trophy fish. A boat ramp and fish cleaning station are located within the campground. Kayaking and canoeing the tailwaters is popular among campers. The Buffalo Valley Nature Trail across the river offers hiking and wildlife viewing. Center Hill Lake stretches 64 miles above the dam with 415 miles of forested shoreline for boating, water skiing, and additional fishing. Edgar Evins State Park is a five-minute drive away, and an observation tower at the park's visitor center provides panoramic views of the lake and surrounding hills.
