About
Fall Creek Falls State Park Campground is one of Tennessee's premier camping destinations, offering year-round camping on over 29,800 acres of rugged Cumberland Plateau terrain. The campground features 198 developed sites spread across five distinct camping areas, all equipped with picnic tables, grills, water, and electric hookups with 20, 30, and 50 amp service. 107 sites include sewer connections, making them ideal for extended RV stays. Six modern bathhouses with flush toilets and showers serve the camping areas, and most sites are designed to be accessible for persons with physical disabilities. Select sites can accommodate RVs up to 65 feet in length. Beyond the developed campgrounds, the park offers diverse camping experiences including nine walk-to primitive tent sites set back in the woods, three semi-primitive "park-on" sites, and seven backcountry sites along hiking trails for those seeking a more remote experience. The Eli Field group camping area provides four large tent sites that can accommodate up to 50 people each, sharing a communal bathhouse. Reservations can be made up to one year in advance through the Tennessee State Parks system, with a maximum stay of 14 consecutive days (extended to 28 days December 1 through February). The park is renowned for its namesake 256-foot waterfall, one of the highest in the eastern United States, plus extensive trail networks, a 345-acre lake, and virgin hardwood forests.
