About

Montgomery Bell State Park Campground sits within a 3,850-acre park in Dickson County, about 35 miles west of Nashville. Named for ironmaster Montgomery Bell, the park preserves the legacy of Tennessee's early iron industry while offering diverse outdoor recreation. The campground provides 109 sites spread across three categories: 40 full hookup sites with water, electric, and sewer connections; 47 partial hookup sites with water and 20/30/50-amp electric service; and 22 tent-only sites for primitive camping. Three bathhouses throughout the campground provide hot showers and flush toilets. Each campsite includes a picnic table and grill, with two centralized dumpsters for trash disposal. A dump station is located behind the camp store. The campground can accommodate large RVs up to 60 feet on most electrical sites. Beyond camping, the park features an 18-hole par 72 golf course, multiple hiking trails, and fishing opportunities at Lake Acorn and Creech Hollow Lake. Lake Woodhaven is currently closed for fishery restoration. The park also offers cabin rentals and a lodge for alternative accommodations.
