At 703 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 7 miles north of Hohenwald to 10 miles north of Olive Hill. Movement was west at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Hohenwald, Waynesboro, Linden, Clifton, Lobelville, Kimmins, Mousetail Landing State Park, Pleasantville, and Flatwoods.

Located at milepost 385.9 on the northern end of the Natchez Trace Parkway near Hohenwald, Tennessee, Meriwether Lewis Campground occupies a scenic ridge at the historic site where famed explorer Meriwether Lewis of the Lewis and Clark Expedition died in 1809. The campground provides 32 primitive sites surrounded by forest, each with a fire ring, grill, and picnic table. All sites are free and operate on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations. Flush toilets and potable water are available year-round. The campground does not offer electricity, showers, hookups, or an RV dump station. One ADA-accessible campsite is available along with accessible restrooms and parking. Pets are permitted with a maximum of two per site, kept on a leash no longer than six feet. The maximum stay is 14 days per calendar year. RVs and trailers up to 55 feet total length (including tow vehicle) are accommodated, with a 14-foot height restriction. Campfires are permitted only in provided fire rings and grills using appropriate fuel. Only dead and down wood may be gathered on-site. The adjacent Meriwether Lewis site offers hiking trails, a section of the Old Trace, interpretive exhibits, and picnic areas.
