About

Anderson Road Campground is a lakeside oasis in the green hills of Tennessee, situated on J. Percy Priest Lake just ten miles east of downtown Nashville. The campground offers 37 shady and spacious campsites, with a mix of electric and non-electric options. Facilities include a shower house, drinking water, dump station, and a boat ramp for lake access. The 14,200-acre lake provides excellent fishing opportunities for largemouth and smallmouth bass, crappie, Cherokee bass, catfish, and bluegill. Campers have access to the adjacent day use area featuring a swimming beach, picnic tables, grills, a shelter, and playground. Anderson Road Fitness Trail, a paved path winding over a mile through the cedar glade area, offers scenic walking and hiking opportunities. The surrounding 19,087 acres of grasslands and woodlands provide habitat for diverse wildlife and plant species, including the rare Tennessee coneflower found in the Cedar Glades Natural Area. With countless recreational activities including boating, fishing, hiking, and wildlife viewing, this Corps of Engineers campground combines natural beauty with proximity to Nashville's urban amenities.

Directions

From downtown Nashville, take I-40 east for 5 miles to exit 219. Turn right on Stewarts Ferry Pike and continue straight on Bell Road for 5 miles. Turn left on Smith Springs Road, then left on Anderson Road. The campground is ahead about 1 mile on the left.
