About

Harpeth River Bridge Campground sits on the banks of the Harpeth River at Cheatham Lock and Dam, about 10 miles northwest of Ashland City and a 30-minute drive from Nashville. This intimate Army Corps of Engineers campground has just 14 sites, each with water and 50-amp electric hookups on concrete pads. The river nearly encircles the campground, so every site offers riverfront access. The temperate climate allows for a lengthy recreation season including boating, canoeing, and fishing. A new boat ramp provides easy water access. On land, children can enjoy the large playground while adults compete at the horseshoe pits. A large pavilion accommodates family reunions and group gatherings. Beautiful old trees shade the campground even on the hottest days. Be aware that falling branches are a natural hazard. Nearby attractions include Cheatham Lake Wildlife Management Area, Doziers Dock, and Pardue Recreation Area.
