About

Harpeth River Bridge Campground offers a peaceful riverside camping experience on the right bank of the Harpeth River, managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as part of Cheatham Lock and Dam. The river wraps almost completely around the campground, making nearly every site a waterfront location with beautiful old trees providing shade throughout the area. The campground caters to both tent and RV campers, with all sites equipped with water and 50-amp electric hookups on concrete pads. Modern amenities include hot showers, a dump station, a new boat ramp, and clean restroom facilities. The campground features a large picnic pavilion perfect for family gatherings, a playground for children, and horseshoe pits for adults. The temperate climate allows for an extended recreation season focused on boating, canoeing, and fishing on the Harpeth River. Located about 10 miles northwest of Ashland City, the campground offers a convenient base for exploring nearby attractions including Cheatham Lake Wildlife Management Area, Doziers Dock, and Pardue Recreation Area. Nashville is just 30 minutes away, making this an ideal spot for campers wanting easy access to the city while enjoying a quiet riverside setting. The campground operates on a reservation-only basis through Recreation.gov with no walk-up sites available.
