About
Located in Lawrenceburg in Middle Tennessee, David Crockett State Park honors the frontier legend who lived and worked in Lawrence County in the early 1800s. The park's two campgrounds accommodate RVs and tents across 96 total sites. Campground #1, situated along scenic Shoal Creek, has 32 sites with 30-amp electric and water hookups plus 12 sites with 20-30-50-amp service, operating seasonally from April through November. Campground #2 underwent renovation and now features 52 newly paved sites with upgraded 50-amp service (plus 30-amp and 20-amp options) and water hookups, remaining open throughout the year. Both campgrounds provide centralized bathhouses with hot showers and flush toilets, and a dump station serves self-contained rigs. The 1,319-acre park offers a museum with exhibits on Crockett's life, a water-powered grist mill, cabins, a restaurant, and recreational opportunities around Lake Lindsey. Check-in is at 3 PM and check-out at noon. Stay limits are two weeks during peak season (March-November) and 28 days in the off-season (December-February). Reservations are available online or by calling the park office.
