Mousetail Landing State Park Campground is located on the eastern banks of the Tennessee River in Perry County, about an hour east of Jackson. This 1,247-acre park offers diverse camping experiences across multiple campground areas. The main campground features 25 sites, with 19 offering water and electric hookups, along with a modern bathhouse, laundromat, and dump station. All sites include picnic tables, grills, fire rings, and lantern holders, with WiFi available at sites 1-13. Spring Creek primitive campground provides a more rustic riverside experience with 21 sites situated along the Tennessee River, each equipped with fire rings, BBQ grills, picnic tables, and lantern holders. For backcountry adventurers, two remote shelters are accessible via the 8-mile Eagle Point Loop Trail. The park provides excellent access to fishing, with bass, bream, crappie, stripe, and catfish available along the riverbanks and via boat launch. Reservations can be made online through the Tennessee State Parks system or by calling 1-888-TN-PARKS. Maximum stay is 14 days, extended to 28 days from December 1 through February. The park is open from sunrise to sunset, with the visitor center and gift shop operating Monday through Friday and seasonally on weekends.

Directions

From Linden, turn right onto Highway 412 and go 12 miles to Highway 438. Turn right on Highway 438 and follow the road to the park entrance at 3 Campground Road.
