About

Mousetail Landing State Park Campground is located in Linden, Tennessee, where the Tennessee River meets Spring Creek. The park takes its unique name from the tanning industry that once operated here, where hides were shipped downriver with tanners' marks that resembled mouse tails. The main campground features 25 sites, with 19 offering water and electric hookups. Facilities include a modern bathhouse with showers, a laundromat, and a dump station. Spring Creek primitive campground sits directly on the banks of the Tennessee River with 21 sites, each equipped with a fire ring, BBQ grill, picnic table, and lantern holder. Activities include fishing from the riverbank or boat ramp, hiking the park's trails (note: a portion of Eagle Point Loop Trail is currently closed due to storm damage), and wildlife viewing. The park is open year-round with reservations available up to 12 months in advance through reserve.tnstateparks.com. Maximum stay is 14 days, extended to 28 days from December 1 through February.
