Perched on a rocky bluff overlooking the Tennessee River, J.P. Coleman State Park Campground provides a premier destination for water sports enthusiasts and campers in northeast Mississippi. The campground offers 69 developed RV sites with full hookups including electric, water, and sewer, with 11 premium waterfront sites available. Most sites are located in a wooded area with views of Pickwick Lake or adjacent forested hillsides. Additionally, 9 primitive tent camping sites overlook Indian Creek, offering a more rustic experience with picnic tables and access to a nearby bathhouse. The park sits on 47,500-acre Pickwick Lake, renowned for exceptional fishing for smallmouth bass, crappie, bream, catfish, sauger, and walleye. A full-service marina features three docks for annual rentals, a boat launch ramp with trailer parking, and 24/7 unleaded non-ethanol fuel sales. Additional amenities include a seasonal swimming pool with kiddie pool, miniature golf course, visitor center with conference room, picnic pavilions, playgrounds, and laundry facilities in the lower campground bathhouse. Two bathhouses with hot showers and restrooms serve the developed camping area, and a convenient sewage dump station is available for RV campers.

Directions

Take HWY 25 N to County Road 989. Turn right onto County Road 989 and continue approximately 7 miles. At 4-way stop, turn right onto County Road 321. Follow County Road 321 into the park.
