Situated ten miles north of Iuka on a scenic rocky bluff, J.P. Coleman State Park commands impressive views of the Tennessee River and Pickwick Lake at the point where they converge. The 1,474-acre park offers diverse camping options from full-hookup RV sites to primitive tent camping, all nestled in the forested hills of Tishomingo County. The main campground features 69 RV sites with full hookups including 30/50-amp electric, water, and sewer connections. Sites have paved parking pads, picnic tables, and grills with fire rings. Eleven waterfront sites offer premium lake views. The terrain is hilly with sites spread across multiple levels, and the access road is narrow and winding, requiring careful navigation for larger rigs. Two clean, air-conditioned bathhouses provide restrooms with hot showers, and a laundry facility with washers and dryers is available at the lower bathhouse. Beyond camping, the park offers a swimming pool, marina with boat ramp and supplies, playground, and miniature golf. Pickwick Lake is renowned for smallmouth bass fishing, along with opportunities for sailing, swimming, and water skiing. For those seeking more comfortable accommodations, the park also has duplex cabins, cottages, motel rooms, and townhouses available.

Directions

From Iuka, Mississippi, head north on MS Highway 25 for approximately 10 miles. Turn left onto County Road 321 and follow signs to the park entrance.
