About
Table Meadows Campground is a rustic, no-fee campground in the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests, located approximately 10 miles from Elk City via Erickson Ridge Road. At 5,220 feet elevation, the campground sits in prime big game hunting territory and serves as an excellent base for backcountry exploration with horses or pack animals.
The campground offers six camp pads, vault toilets, a fire ring, and dedicated stock facilities including two feeding bunks, a loading ramp, and hitching rails. The West Fork of the American River flows through the site, providing water that must be filtered or treated before drinking. There is no potable water, trash service, or other developed amenities. Campers must pack out all garbage.
Access requires navigating approximately 6.5 miles of Erickson Ridge Road #283, a forest road that may be rough or impassable during wet conditions or early season. The remote location and lack of services make this campground best suited for self-sufficient campers and hunters familiar with backcountry camping.
