About

Sing Lee Campground is a quiet, primitive campground tucked into tall timber along Newsome Creek Road in Idaho's Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests. At 3,960 feet elevation, the site offers natural afternoon shade and the soothing sounds of a small creek that flows directly through the campground. Newsome Creek itself runs just across the road, providing easy access for stream fishing. The campground has only two designated sites with minimal amenities: one vault toilet and one picnic table. There is no potable water, so campers must bring their own supply or treat water from nearby sources. All trash must be packed out. No fees are required to camp here. Recreation opportunities in the area include stream and river fishing, day hiking, and OHV road riding. Note that the trail to Pilot Knob is closed to motorized vehicles. The campground's remote location and primitive nature make it best suited for self-sufficient campers seeking solitude in the Idaho backcountry.

Directions

From State Highway 14, turn north on Newsome Creek Road No. 1858 and travel approximately 4.4 miles to the campground.
