About
Crooked River Campground sits at 3,960 feet elevation in the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests of Idaho County. The campground offers four camp pads that are well-screened by timber, making it suitable for larger visitor parties seeking privacy. A small fishing and swimming pond is located directly at the campground, and the site provides easy access to Crooked River for additional fishing opportunities. This is a primitive, no-fee campground with minimal amenities. Campers must bring their own drinking water as no potable water is available on-site. There are no garbage services, so visitors must pack out all trash. The area is popular for a variety of recreational activities including hiking, trout fishing, hunting, and winter sports like snowmobiling and cross-country skiing when conditions allow.
Directions
From State Highway 14, turn south on Crooked River Road #233 and travel approximately 2.5 miles.
