Crooked River Campground is a rustic, no-fee Forest Service site situated along the Highway 14 Corridor in the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests, approximately 2.5 miles south of State Highway 14 via Crooked River Road #233. At an elevation of 3,960 feet, this campground features four camping pads screened by trees, making it well-suited for larger visitor parties and family groups. The campground provides access to a small fishing and swimming pond on-site, as well as easy access to Crooked River for additional fishing opportunities. The setting offers a peaceful forested environment ideal for those seeking a quiet camping experience in Idaho's backcountry. Visitors should come prepared for primitive camping conditions. No potable water is available on-site, and campers must pack in all supplies and pack out all trash. The campground operates year-round, though winter access may be limited or impossible due to snow accumulation at this elevation.
