A trailhead from the campground provides access to numerous alpine lakes for backpacking and day hiking adventures. The Yellowstone River offers fishing opportunities for brook, brown, and rainbow trout. The campground is situated in the South Slope Western Uinta Mountains region, providing a remote mountain experience. Access requires traveling north from Mountain Home on county roads before turning onto the Yellowstone Road for the final approach. This is a basic campground with restrooms available but no potable water on-site. Quiet time is enforced from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., including all generators. Dogs must be leashed at all times within the campground, and shooting of any type is prohibited. The campground operates at a budget-friendly rate during the summer season.
