Reservoir Campground is located at 7,900 feet elevation near Yellowstone Reservoir and the Yellowstone River on the southern slope of the Uinta Mountains in Ashley National Forest. This small, affordable campground charges just $5 per night for a single unit, making it an excellent budget option for outdoor enthusiasts. The campground serves as a gateway to the High Uintas Wilderness, with trailhead access available at the end of Forest Road 124 at the Swift Creek Trailhead. Popular activities include fishing in the Yellowstone River, day hiking into the wilderness, picnicking, and OHV trail riding. The campground is surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery at a relatively high elevation. Reached via Yellowstone Road from Mountain Home, the campground provides restrooms but no potable water, so visitors must bring their own water supply.
